This VELUX fixed FCM skylight with the "Go Solar" option includes a pre-installed solar powered room darkening blind and an internet gateway, allowing you to control the blind with your smartphone. The solar powered blind is designed to harness the power of the sun to control the amount of daylight entering through your skylight. Installing a skylight is one of the most impactful ways to enhance the brightness and beauty of a room. Bringing natural light into a home through a skylight decreases the need for artificial light while maintaining privacy. The room darkening blind utilizes a double-pleated honeycomb structure with an interior aluminum coating to block even the brightest sunlight, making it ideal for bedrooms, entertainment rooms or any other space where light control is important. FCM skylights are ideal for replacing existing curb mount skylights, including old plastic bubble skylights. They can be installed on a flat roof at 0° up to a 60° roof pitch on a site-built curb.

• VELUX "Go Solar" skylights with a solar powered blind require no wiring and are eligible for a federal tax credit, including product and installation costs
• FCM 3046 models are designed to fit a site-built curb (not included) with outside dimensions 33.5-in width x 49.5-in length
• Consists of double paned argon gas filled LowE3 glass that provides excellent energy performance for year round comfort, plus the added safety of laminated glass, which building codes require for out of reach applications
• Along with an internet gateway, a basic remote control is also included to operate the blind
• Order VELUX ECL 3046 flashing if you have a shingle, shake, or slate roof, or VELUX ECW 3046 flashing if you have a tile roof
• Smartphone is not included
• Qualifies for a 10-year "No Leak" installation warranty when installed with ECL 3046 flashing on a shingle roof with a pitch between 10° and 60° or ECW 3046 flashing on a tile roof with a pitch between 14° and 60° (flashing kits are sold separately)
