They have a cap that covers the teeth for the entire length of the hinge, and the template pattern of fasteners ensure that door's weight is distributed more evenly to prevent sagging. These flush mount full mortise continuous hinges are 83" long and have interlocking extrusions (gears). The thrust type bearings are self-lubricating and concealed, while each hinge leaf has an alignment stop.
