VELUX VCM operable “Fresh Air” Skylights can be opened to create a chimney effect that draws air upward to improve air circulation and air quality within your home. They can be installed on a flat roof at 0° up to a 60° roof pitch on a site-built curb. Bringing natural light into a home through a skylight decreases the need for artificial light while maintaining privacy. Installing a skylight is one of the most impactful ways to enhance the brightness and beauty of a room.

• Inside curb dimensions for 2246 models are 22-1/2 in by 46-1/2 in and outside curb dimensions are 25-1/2 in by 49-1/2 in
• Qualifies for a 10-year "No Leak" installation warranty when installed with ECL 2246 flashing on a shingle roof with a pitch between 10° and 60° or ECW 2246 flashing on a tile roof with a pitch between 14° and 60° (flashing kits are sold separately)
• Since most VCM skylight models are installed out of reach they include a hook for operating the skylight, but a ZZZ 212 crank handle is sold separately for in-reach applications
• ZCT 300 manual control rod (sold separately) for venting skylights is available for out of reach applications and can operate multiple skylights
• Insect screen included
• Order VELUX ECL 2246 flashing if you have a shingle, shake, or slate roof, or VELUX ECW 2246 flashing if you have a tile roof

Laminated Low-E

• Features Clean, Quiet and Safe LowE3 laminated glass with a Neat® glass coating that keeps your skylight cleaner, reduces unwanted outside noise, and comes with a 10-year hail warranty against glass breakage
• Consists of double paned argon gas filled LowE3 glass that provides excellent energy performance for year round comfort, plus the added safety of laminated glass, which building codes require for out of reach applications

Tempered Low-E

• Features tempered, Low-E3, argon-filled, double paned glass, which is recommended for in-reach applications
• Please note: VELUX recommends and most building codes require laminated glass for out of reach applications
