This VELUX VCM operable "Fresh Air" Skylight with the "Go Solar" option includes a pre-installed solar powered room darkening blind and an internet gateway, allowing you to control the blind with your smartphone. The solar powered blind is designed to harness the power of the sun to control the amount of daylight entering through your skylight. This model can be opened to create a chimney effect, drawing air upward to improve air quality within your home. The room darkening blind utilizes a double-pleated honeycomb structure with an interior aluminum coating to block even the brightest sunlight, making it ideal for bedrooms, entertainment rooms or any other space where light control is important. VCM skylights are ideal for replacing existing curb mount skylights, including old plastic bubble skylights. They can be installed on a flat roof at 0° up to a 60° roof pitch on a site-built curb.

• VELUX "Go Solar" skylights with a solar powered blind require no wiring and are eligible for a federal tax credit, including product and installation costs
• VCM 3030 models are designed to fit a site-built curb (not included) with outside dimensions 33.5-in width x 33.5-in length
• Consists of double paned argon gas filled LowE3 glass that provides excellent energy performance for year round comfort, plus the added safety of laminated glass, which building codes require for out of reach applications
• Insect screen, internet gateway, and a basic remote control to operate the blind are included
• Since most VCM skylight models are installed out of reach they include a hook for operating the skylight, but a ZZZ 212 crank handle is sold separately for in-reach applications
• ZCT 300 manual control rod (sold separately) for venting skylights is available for out of reach applications and can operate multiple skylights
• Order VELUX ECL 3046 flashing if you have a shingle, shake, or slate roof, or VELUX ECW 3046 flashing if you have a tile roof
• Smartphone is not included
• Qualifies for a 10-year "No Leak" installation warranty when installed with ECL 3046 flashing on a shingle roof with a pitch between 10° and 60° or ECW 3046 flashing on a tile roof with a pitch between 14° and 60° (flashing kits are sold separately)
